How tag came about

The group exists to provide information, support, training, encouragement and networking for counsellors, therapists, professional workers, carers and indeed anyone who is concerned or interested and any that are working with individuals who have suffered trauma and abuse. As a group we acknowledge the contribution of survivors to increased understanding in this area and respect the great value of their insights.

The steering group for tag, arose out of a working group set up by the Association of Christian Counsellors to provide training guidelines for counsellors working with survivors of ritual or extreme childhood abuse or who are working with dissociative disorders including dissociative identity disorder.

  • You as a member – the more people join together to share and inform, the more we will all benefit and much more importantly the people we work with will benefit.
  • Information on – events, books, programmes, videos, audio tapes, other organisations, new developments in the work, articles from the internet, training courses and conference etc.
  • Articles and comments - from you or your clients if they are willing, comments, book reviews, extracts with permission and anything else of interest in the areas covered by the Group.
  • Your feedback - On the organisation, the website, the newsletter and our training events. Please let us know your thoughts and ideas as we very much value a wide range of inputs.
